Bettye Robinson is committed to challenging young minds,enhancing the quality of life for others, and meeting literacy needs. She is known as the PEANUT TEACHER because of her ability to apply the knowledge and teachings of her hero Dr. George Washington Carver in everything she endeavors.She has been to practically every state in the Union as a panelist, speaker or award. Some of her awards/recognitions include:

Disney Outstanding Teachers Award, Who's Who Among American Teachers, Who's Who in Poetry, Catalyst Award, Principal's Award, Those Who Excel, and many more. She's participated in several projects and panels: Illinois State Conference on Nutrition Education; Klopsteg Lecture; Garfield Park Conservatory; Argonne National Laboratory; Teachers For Chicago, to name few. She currently serves as an ambassador for the Adult Peanut Butter Lovers' Fan Club, is editor of the PEANUT PRESS newsletter,

 

and author of two published poems: Dr. Carver, Dr. Carver, and In The Garden.Robinson has been featured in many media, including USA Today, The Chicago Tribune, The Chicago Defender, The New Explorers; as well as having articles written about her in Spread The News, and The Garden Tender newsletters.
Robinson's pet phrase: "I can show you, better than I can tell you", coupled with the Japanese proverb, "One seeing is better than a hundred telling about", is your invitation to invite her to speak at your event!
